The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has scheduled an open house public meeting to discuss the Interstate 44/Route 50 Interchange Improvements Project. The event will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m., November 6, at the Union Community Center, as reported by MoDOT. Located at 1329 Union Ave, Union, Missouri, the center will host the meeting, which does not include a formal presentation.
The intention of this meeting is to provide both the public and stakeholders with the opportunity to quickly learn about the project's plans for enhancing the I-44/U.S. 50 Interchange and U.S. 50/Route AT Intersection. According to MoDOT's announcement, the goal of this gathering is also to "confirm the project goals and gather input to ensure the improvements best meet the needs of communities and roadway users." The project is aimed at increasing safety, reliability, and to improve overall roadway conditions.
Those interested in the project will have the opportunity to gain insight into the improvements and share their input through an available survey. MoDOT encourages the participation of locals to help shape the future of this crucial interchange. For individuals unable to be physically present, there is also a provision to access the shared information and survey link on the project website until November 21.
Accessibility for people with disabilities has been assured, and MoDOT requests that those who require special services to truly effectively participate at the meeting should reach out to Senior Communications Specialist Rachel V. Sudduth by October 30 at 314-343-7731, in order to make the necessary arrangements.
