The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is throwing open the doors for public input on the upcoming changes to Route D (Page Ave.), and they want you to be a part of the conversation. If you're someone who traverses this stretch of road between Oak Ave. and Innerbelt Business Center Dr. in St. Louis County, mark your calendars for Nov. 13 where MoDOT will hold an open-house meeting from 4-6 p.m. at the Overland Community Center, 9225 Lackland Rd. 63114.
Planned upgrades are in the pipeline to enhance pedestrian facilities, and sidewalks over a 2.5 miles strip of Route D. Furthermore, the signalized intersection at Page Industrial Blvd., is on the docket for a major reconstruction. Last year, stakeholders had their say through a virtual interactive map and survey. This upcoming gathering is designed to showcase designs fleshed out from the input and additional data received, according to MoDOT's announcements.
MoDOT's release emphasizes the significance of community engagement in shaping these infrastructure changes. "Stakeholders were provided the opportunity to provide input on the project through a virtual interactive map and survey in 2024," they noted, reinforcing that the collective voice has a pivotal role to play in the roadway's future.
Those unable to attend in person can access details about the proposed changes online after the meeting. The project, currently under review by planners and engineers, will be presented for public viewing and feedback, allowing community members to learn more and share their input.
