The Missouri Department of Transportation is requesting feedback from the local community regarding several upcoming bridge projects in Washington County. These projects include the replacement and rehabilitation of six bridges, covering Route A over Indian Creek, multiple sections of Missouri Route 8 over Allen Creek, the Mid Fork Fourche a Renault, and the North Fork Fourche a Renault. Additionally, work is planned for Missouri Route 185 over Swan Branch and Route W over Ashley Branch.
Residents are encouraged to attend a public meeting hosted by MoDOT on November 4. The meeting will take place at the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, located at 501 E. High Street, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., allowing attendees to come and go as their schedules permit. There will be no formal presentation, but project team members will be available to answer questions, explain the planned activities, and discuss expected detours, according to a MoDOT release.
For those unable to attend the November 4 meeting, MoDOT is accepting public comments from October 28 through November 18. Feedback can be submitted through an online form on the project webpage, by email at [email protected], or by mail to 1511 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, MO 65102. All comments must be received or postmarked by November 18.
Detailed information about each project is available on MoDOT’s website. MoDOT encourages drivers to stay safe in work zones by wearing seat belts, avoiding phone use, obeying traffic signals, and moving over for road crews.
