
A motorcyclist was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Sage Canyon Road in Napa County, requiring an urgent response from multiple agencies and an airlift to a local hospital. According to a social media post from the CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit, the incident occurred yesterday. It prompted a swift collaboration between them, AMR Napa County, the California Highway Patrol - Napa, and the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
The response by CAL FIRE/Napa County Fire included setting up a landing zone for Reach Copter 11, which allowed them to transport the injured motorcyclist, who had suffered moderate injuries after their motorcycle left the roadway. Collaboration between the multiple agencies was crucial in ensuring that the victim received prompt care, which included AMR providing initial ground support and the Napa County Sheriff's Office assisting with traffic control around the scene.
Officials have not disclosed the cause of the crash at this time or the current condition of the motorcyclist beyond the initial assessment of 'moderate injuries.'
