Details of the August incident note that McMillan was driving a Ram 1500 pickup, allegedly used to sell drugs in the complex, and when approached by the police, he attempted to deceive officers by presenting his deceased brother's driver's license, his quick identification by police as not being his brother led to a series of events where McMillan sped away hitting two marked patrol vehicles before crashing into a wooded area. Following the crash, McMillan and his two passengers attempted to escape on foot, with McMillan ultimately eluding capture; the two passengers were less fortunate, being apprehended shortly after the incident.
