The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works has released a construction schedule expected to impact daily traffic. Beginning at 7 a.m. today, lane reductions will be in place as crews begin street improvement work. According to an update on the City of New Orleans, affected areas include the riverbound lanes of Napoleon Avenue, Press Drive, North Galvez Street, and a section of Abundance Street. Work at each location is expected to take approximately three weeks.

Hard Rock Construction Co. LLC is doing asphalt milling and overlay work for the DPW771: Right of Way Asphalt Improvement Project. Signs, cones, and fences will guide traffic and pedestrians safely around the construction zones. Local access will remain open, but parking will be prohibited in active work areas. Residents and businesses should expect changes and may need to use alternate routes.

Hard Rock Construction will be working from 7 a.m to 5:30 p.m Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work as well. The city advises residents to watch for 'No Parking' signs posted ahead of time to avoid being towed. Sidewalk repairs may cause temporary detours.
