Two individuals have been arrested by the New Orleans Police Department in connection with a homicide that occurred this morning at Gravier Street and Loyola Avenue. According to New Orleans Police Department News, officers responded to the scene around 7:42 a.m. after being alerted by Tulane Police and discovered an unidentified adult male who was pronounced dead at the location. The case was initially classified as unclassified but was later determined to be a homicide at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Investigations revealed that the victim was likely involved in a physical altercation with several individuals before being found. Detectives identified two suspects linked to the incident—Aaron Brown, born March 30, 1990, and Mason Rucker, born December 19, 1993—both of whom have been taken into custody and charged with manslaughter. They are expected to be booked into the Orleans Justice Center.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death and confirm the victim’s identity once next of kin have been notified.
