The New Orleans Police Department is actively seeking the public's aid in their quest to apprehend a suspect involved in a recent armed carjacking. Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of Dawand Wilson, identifying him as one of the perpetrators in the crime that took place on the evening of September 17.
According to a report by the NOPD, the incident unfolded around 8:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of Rue Parc Fontaine. The authorities have yet to quietly apprehend Wilson, who is described as a Black male with the date of birth January 29, 2001. Members of the public are urged to exercise caution; the suspect is deemed armed and dangerous.
Any attempts to confront Wilson should be avoided. Instead, individuals who spot him or have any information pertaining to the carjacking incident are encouraged to maintain a safe distance and notify the police.
