The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in the Seventh District. The collision took place yesterday around 10:23 a.m. at the intersection of Morrison Road and Read Boulevard, according to New Orleans Police Department News.
Preliminary reports indicate that a white BMW SUV traveling eastbound on Morrison Road collided with a black Chevrolet Camaro heading southbound on Read Boulevard. The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Camaro’s driver was taken to a hospital and later died from their injuries.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identities of both victims and official causes of death following autopsies. The New Orleans Police Department has not yet released additional details about what caused the crash.
