The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect connected to a firearm theft. The suspect, identified as Stevie James Carruth, a Black female born on February 24, 1990, is wanted in connection with an incident that occurred on August 9 around 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Rampart Street, as per the New Orleans Police Department News.
Police said Carruth allegedly took the victim’s firearm before fleeing the area. Detectives are currently reviewing video footage related to the case.
Anyone with information about Carruth’s location or details regarding the theft is urged to contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080. Information may also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
