New Orleans Police Department is on the lookout for an individual accused of illegal dumping in the city. The suspect, Sacramento Hurtado, is said to be connected to an incident that took place early this month. According to the NOPD, a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, registered to Hurtado, was identified as the vehicle used in the act on Michoud Boulevard.
The NOPD has made a public appeal for help in tracking down Hurtado, who is Hispanic, born on November 2, 1968, and is wanted on a count of gross littering in violation of LA R.S. 30:2521.1. The gross littering incident in question was reported on October 2. Illegal dumping is considered serious offense, particularly as the city grapples with environmental issues and efforts to maintain clean public spaces.
Officials urge anyone with information regarding this crime or the whereabouts of Sacramento Hurtado to get in touch with the authorities.
