
The New Orleans Police Department is turning to the community for assistance in a recent homicide case, seeking help to identify and locate a woman who may hold valuable information. A social media post from NOPD has circulated, showing an image of the individual described as a Black female with possibly green-color hair, who is not a suspect but is believed to be significant to the investigation of a homicide by shooting that happened early in the morning of October 3.
The crime in question, which occurred on the 4300 block of Louisa Drive at around 1:47 a.m., has left investigators canvassing for clues and community tips, NOPD describes the woman as a person of interest meaning she is not currently wanted for the crime, however, the department is emphasizing her potential importance due to the information she may possess. The NOPD post specifies, "Note the pictured individual is NOT wanted for this crime and is sought only because of the information she is believed to possess."
Authorities are urging anyone who might be able to identify the person of interest or who has any relevant information about the homicide to come forward.
