The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Shanika Shaquita Turner, who is wanted for auto theft and illegal possession of stolen property. Turner, a Black female born on October 25, 1983, is believed to live in Chalmette, Louisiana.

According to the New Orleans Police Department news, the incident occurred at about 4:25 a.m. earlier this month in a parking lot in the 4100 block of South Carrollton Avenue. A 2002 Buick was stolen from the location. Investigators later determined that Turner sold the stolen vehicle to a scrap yard on October 17, where it was subsequently destroyed.
