Following heightened security measures for NBA YoungBoy's concert series in New Orleans, five individuals were arrested in connection with reckless driving involving stolen ATVs and firearms. Louisiana State Police increased downtown patrols during the concert, which led to the arrests. WWLTV reported that two of the ATVs were stolen.
State police attributed the arrests partly to the increased presence of troopers. WGNO reported that four ATVs, two dirt bikes, one motorcycle, and three firearms were seized.
During the concert, NBA YoungBoy was briefly swarmed by fans in the French Quarter. FOX8Live reported that officers created a protective corridor and safely escorted him to a vehicle. No connection was reported between this incident and the ATV arrests.
