
Families and neighbors gathered at Brookhaven Park in west Norman for a community event filled with bounce houses, food trucks, and opportunities to connect. Members of the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, including Lieutenant Graham, Captain Cornish, and several deputies, attended and shared safety tips with residents.
The event emphasized the importance of simple crime prevention habits, particularly regarding vehicle safety. Lieutenant Graham stated, “Taking just a few extra seconds to lock your doors or remove valuables from your car can make all the difference,” reinforcing the department’s focus on community welfare, as reported by the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.
Local law enforcement attended a community event in Brookhaven after being invited by residents Nicole Austin and Stewart Mayfield. The event focused on community engagement and public safety.
