On the grim anniversary of a fatal home invasion in East Oakland, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) is once again reaching out to the public in hopes of solving the case that took Dirk Tillotson's life in October 2021. According to an announcement made by the Oakland Police Department, they are still on the hunt for two individuals suspected of being linked to the homicide, and they need the community's help to identify them.
The OPD has described the first of the suspects as a medium-build male, standing between 5-feet-9 and 6-feet tall. He was reportedly wearing a gray or light-colored hooded sweatshirt, black or dark-colored pants with stripes down the side, and white shoes edged with black on the day of the incident. Meanwhile, the second suspect is also a male of a thin build and similar height, who was wearing a gray or light-colored hooded sweatshirt, accompanied by pants and shoes of a similar light hue.
The police department urges anyone with recognisable information about these individuals or details about the case to step forward. OPD's Criminal Investigations Division can be contacted at (510) 238-3821, or tipsters can call the TIP LINE at (510) 238-7950. Additionally, if one has any videos or photos that could aid investigators, they are encouraged to email them to [email protected].
