Palm Beach County has opened its updated Sheriff’s Office District One and Marine Unit complex. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held in September, was attended by County Mayor Maria G. Marino and local law enforcement officials, according to the Palm Beach County government website.

The new facility is designed to improve officer operations and vessel maintenance. It includes an on-site boat testing tank—one of only three between Miami and New Jersey—allowing deputies to save up to four hours per test by avoiding travel to Phil Foster Park. The complex also features three work bays for marine unit repairs, helping reduce costs and downtime.

According to county officials, the facility includes a training room, breakroom, evidence room, multiple conference spaces, open work areas, and an emergency generator to maintain operations during outages. These additions aim to enhance efficiency and readiness in supporting law enforcement duties on land and water.
