Students and families in the Socorro Independent School District are set for a week filled with spirit and festivity as Pebble Hills High School gears up to celebrate its homecoming from October 20th to 25th. In a public announcement, the school detailed a schedule of events including a themed parade, a lively pep rally, the traditional homecoming football game, and a dance to cap off the excitement. Members of the community are encouraged to participate and experience the school pride firsthand.
Kicking off the weeklong celebration is "Muse Monday," where students can channel their favorite celebrities with creative ensembles. According to Socorro ISD, the lineup of themed dress-up days will continue, featuring "Olympics Fit" on Tuesday and "Elements Day" on Wednesday, allowing students to represent fire, water, air, earth, or light through color-coded attire.
One of the highlights of the week, the homecoming parade, will commence at 5 p.m. on October 23rd, followed by the "Burning of the Spartan" ceremony and a fireworks display. A spirited pep rally is scheduled during school hours on October 24th, in preparation for the big game. The homecoming game, set against rival Socorro High School, will be at 7:30 p.m. at SAC I on the same day. To conclude the festivities, the school has planned "A Night in Ancient Greece," a dance that will take place in the school's cafeteria at 8 p.m. on October 25th.
