The Plymouth Police Department reported via social media that at around 8:25 AM, emergency responders rushed to the scene of a collision at 155 State Road. The crash involved a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2025 Honda Civic, both sustaining severe damage.
Upon arrival, first responders found three victims between the vehicles. The driver of the Honda, an 18-year-old male from Plymouth, was unresponsive. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced deceased after being transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. "That operator...was treated at the scene prior to transport the Beth Isarel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth where he would later be pronounced deceased," as noted in the Plymouth Police Department statement. A 17-year-old passenger also from Plymouth was taken to the same hospital, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as a 47-year-old female resident of Plymouth, was taken to South Shore Hospital. The current condition of the Jeep's operator has not been released.
