Heads up, Plymouth commuters: It's time to mark your calendars and plan as Plymouth Metrolink announces its service changes for the upcoming holiday season. According to information from an official announcement, the public transportation service will take a day off on some of the calendar's most festive dates, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

The Metrolink won't be in operation on Thursday, Nov. 27, for Thanksgiving, Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas Day, and Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, on New Year’s Day. And to quickly get ahead on customer inquiries, the customer service line won't be answering calls on Nov. 27-28, Dec. 24-25, or Jan. 1, 2026. This could inevitably force some travelers to swiftly rearrange their holiday plans.

On Nov. 28 and Dec. 24, the day after Thanksgiving and the day before Christmas, respectively, there will be a semblance of service resuming with limited routes. These include Route 774, 776, 790, 795, and 747, offering trips to and from various downtown locations and Plymouth neighborhoods, but pay attention to the modified timings, as they won't follow the regular schedule.

Route 774 will have trips departing from Northwest Greenway Park and Ride for Oak Street and Delaware Street at four morning times and will return in the afternoon with four scheduled trips. Details for other routes can be found on the Metrolink website.

Accessibility remains a priority, as indicated by the Metrolink's effort to provide support for multilingual communication. If an interpreter is required, Transit Administrator Nur Kasin can be contacted at 763-509-5013 or via email at [email protected]. Further questions about the services can be directed to [email protected] or the customer service number, 763-509-5535.
