Green Township police are currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a body near La Salle High School, reported Local 12. The remains were found at the corner of North Bend Road and Sprucewood Drive, in an area adjacent to the school.
Authorities were alerted to the grim find around 5 p.m. yesterday when, according to a WLWT interview, the assistant principal of La Salle High School reported a disturbing discovery made by a cross country runner. "A kid on our cross country team went into the woods and found, don't know that it's real or not, but found a skeleton, in full outfit with a phone in its pocket," stated the assistant principal.
Following the report, the Green Township Police Department's Criminal Investigation Section has teamed up with the Hamilton County Coroner to investigate the situation as mentioned by FOX19. While details remain scant, officers at the scene were able to confirm the presence of skeletal remains.
The Green Township Police Department is urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward. The police can be reached at 513-572-0007, hoping that community members might shed light on this macabre occurrence. In the words of the communication heard by Green Township police, the assistant principal's troubling account suggests the remains were still clothed and had personal belongings.
