"He asked that his letter be shared with those members so they would know how appreciative he was", a statement from the City of Phoenix Newsroom revealed.
The hiker was lucky to escape without serious injuries and fully recovered. After the experience, he promised never to hike alone again and to be more cautious in the future, as per the City of Phoenix.
