This essential maintenance requires the whole area to be closed off from the wee hours of dawn at 6:30 am until completion, which, fingers crossed, will be before the day turns into night.
Dog owners will have to reroute their pet's playtime as the fresh mulch gets spread. "Unci Makha dog park will be closed for remulching Tuesday, October 14 from 6:30am until finished (which is estimated to be that same day)" according to the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation social media post; while the mulching mayhem ensues, the park's regulars will need to visit alternative parks, which thankfully, are not in short supply around here.
For those wondering where to take their pups in the meantime, the local parks website points to the nearest canine hangouts, which can be found at stpaul.gov/dogparks; this is where dog owners, eager for a place for their precious pets to stretch their legs, can scout out new spots – albeit temporarily.
