Following a June incident in East San José, the San José Police Department has apprehended a man for brandishing a weapon during a dispute. The altercation, which involved an adult male and an adult female, escalated when the man displayed a firearm, as confirmed by authorities on the scene. The victim reported feeling a legitimate fear for her life, prompting the intervention of the police.
Investigations led by the SJPD Assaults Unit Detectives identified the individual wielding the gun as Alejandro Villasenor Jr., a person not legally permitted to own firearms. Acting on these findings, detectives secured an arrest warrant and a search warrant for the suspect's residence. While conducting the execution of the arrest warrant, Alejandro was found and arrested in Santa Clara last Thursday, according to the San José Police Department's press release.
In the process, officers uncovered two firearms and a variety of ammunition during the search of Villasenor Jr.'s home. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. He now faces charges for the brandishing of a firearm and possession thereof by a prohibited person. The gravity of finding multiple firearms aggravates the concerns around the incident.
