The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that the I-20 westbound off-ramp at Common Street/Line Avenue (Exit 18D) in Shreveport will be closed overnight on Tuesday next week for safety repairs. The closure will begin at 9:00 p.m. and continue until 5:00 a.m.
As per the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the work will focus on repairing a crash attenuator, a device that helps absorb impact during collisions. Detour signs will be posted to direct drivers around the closure. The work schedule may change depending on weather conditions.
Drivers are advised to use caution near the construction zone, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra space between vehicles while traveling through the area.
