Deputy Brock Cadman of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office will represent his department in the Bayou Fighting Championship’s Battle of the Badges, a boxing event in Kenner that supports first responder charities.

According to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, the event is a friendly boxing competition among local first responders aimed at promoting camaraderie and raising funds for charitable causes, Sheriff James Pohlmann said. It is scheduled for November 21 at the Pontchartrain Center, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the main event beginning at 7 p.m.

Deputy Cadman has more than eleven years of competitive boxing experience. He joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2017 as part of the Corrections Division and later served in the Patrol Division starting in 2019.

The Battle of the Badges allows the public to support first responders through an evening of boxing while contributing to organizations that assist those in emergency services. Tickets and event information are available on the Pontchartrain Center’s website or by contacting the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.
