Authorities in St. Bernard Parish are on the lookout for a New Orleans man in connection with an armed robbery that took place this past Tuesday in Chalmette. At a press briefing, Sheriff James Pohlmann described the suspect as 19-year-old Elroy Richardson from the 4900 block of Little John Drive, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office's social media post.

The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, when Sheriff Pohlmann said deputies responded to an armed robbery in the 200 block of East St. Avide Street. In the investigation that followed, detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau identified Richardson, also known by the moniker “Put,” as the alleged perpetrator. Richardson, who is about 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds, was reportedly seen driving away from the scene in a silver 2015 Ford Fusion with a temporary tag visible in the window.

The Sheriff assured the public that this was an "isolated incident between acquaintances" and that the investigative efforts are active and ongoing. Meanwhile, the authorities are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Richardson or details of the incident to get in touch.
