
The St. Charles Parish Council will hold a meeting on November 3 at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers. The agenda includes ordinances affecting local zoning, infrastructure projects, and the fiscal budget. Public comment sessions are scheduled for Tuesday next week at 9:00 am, Friday next week at 1:00 pm, and immediately before the November 3 meeting, as per the St. Charles Parish website.
Items for discussion include the St. Charles Parish Consolidated Operating and Capital Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 and a zoning change on Paul Frederick Drive in Luling, requested by resident Calvin D. Preston. Infrastructure projects and professional services contracts are also on the agenda.
The Council will review a contract with Principal Engineering, Inc., for drainage improvements exceeding $750,000, and a $219,200 contract with Hartman Engineering, Inc., for engineering services at the Cousins Pump Station T-Wall. Contracts with ELOS Environmental, LLC, are proposed for work at the Turtle Pond Pump Station and other drainage improvements. Additionally, a $2.78 million contract with Pintail Contracting Services, LLC, is proposed for upgrades to the St. Charles Parish Water Treatment Plant West Bank D Plant Clarifier.
