According to a public appeal by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Missing Person's Unit, Rieves has been missing for weeks, last seen in the vicinity of the VA Hospital on the 900 block of N. Grand. The report, which surfaced on the SLMPD’s website, underscores the urgency of locating Rieves due to his mental health condition and his need for medication.
The SLMPD paints a picture of the missing man on the day he vanished: Rieves donned a red t-shirt with "STL" emblazoned on the front, coupled with a gray jacket, gray jogger pants, and gray tennis shoes. Noteworthy, is his mental health status which, according to the police report, has been left untended without his medication. There is a palpable concern for his well-being echoed in the call for help disseminated across the community.
