Recruit Class 925 of St. Tammany Parish Fire District #4 has reached the halfway point of its firefighter training program, now in its seventh wee. The twelve recruits recently completed drills on Forcible Entry, Ventilation, and Search and Rescue—key firefighting skills necessary for responding to emergenciesk, according to St. Tammany Parish Fire District # 4's Facebook post.
The class participated in a simulated two-story residential fire scenario involving multiple victims, designed to test communication, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure. The department commended the recruits’ progress, noting that each week builds their knowledge and readiness to serve.
This exercise is part of a broader training process that develops both the physical capabilities and critical thinking required in firefighting. Class 925 will continue advancing through the program as they prepare to complete their certification and begin active service.
