The Sturbridge Police Department has issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating a missing man, Jordan Murray, who was last seen on October 24 near Hobbs Brook Plaza. According to the Sturbridge Police Department social media post, Murray walked away from his tractor-trailer without his phone, money, or any alternative mode of transportation at around 6:20 PM.
The missing individual is described as a Black male, approximately 5'8" and weighing around 190 lbs, with black hair pulled back into a bun or top knot, and a medium-length beard. When last seen, he was wearing black and gray camo pants, a black T-shirt with the word 'JESUS' on the front, and sandals. There is significant concern for Murray's welfare, especially given that he was inadequately dressed and has been exposed to the elements overnight. Despite extensive searches utilizing drones and K9 units by the Sturbridge Police and the Massachusetts State Police, there has been no success in locating him, the absence of, a known threat to public safety.
Law enforcement is emphasizing the urgency of the situation, recognizing that with each passing hour the likelihood of a safe return diminishes. They urge anyone with information about Murray's whereabouts to immediately call 911. The police have stressed that public participation is crucial in these circumstances, and sharing the information could expedite their efforts.
