Louisiana State Police from Troop D were called to the scene of a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle on Louisiana Highway 27 at Ravia Road in Calcasieu Parish. The collision resulted in the death of 36-year-old Aaron Bailey of Sulphur, as reported by the Louisiana State Police.
The early morning crash occurred when a 2018 Ford F-150, traveling south on LA Hwy 27, began making a left turn onto Ravia Road. During this maneuver, Aaron Bailey, who was riding north on the highway on his 2020 Vita motorcycle, struck the right side of the truck. Initial findings suggest that Bailey was traveling at a high rate of speed, although the full reasons behind the collision are still under investigation. Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Louisiana State Police.
The driver of the Ford F-150 was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and sustained moderate injuries. Subsequently, the individual was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
