
In a significant drug crackdown in Madison County, Dennis Keefer, a 63-year-old resident of Summitville, was taken into custody facing allegations of methamphetamine distribution, as reported by WTHR. Keefer's arrest on Tuesday came as a result of a search warrant execution at his Summitville address by the J.E.A.N. Team Drug Task Force, which was part of an ongoing investigation.
The search led authorities to seize about four ounces of what is suspected to be methamphetamine, along with packaging materials, varied paraphernalia, and an unspecified amount of marijuana it was a result of a collaborative effort involving several law enforcement agencies, including the Grant County Sheriff's Department and the Marion and Fairmount police departments among others.
According to the WFFT report, Keefer is currently detained at the Grant County Jail and his charges include two counts of dealing methamphetamine, both being level 2 felonies. The investigation that ensnared Keefer, drawing on multiple agencies' capacities, signifies an ongoing effort to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
As the J.E.A.N.
