Earlier this month, an intensive multi-agency narcotics operation culminated in Sunnyvale with the arrest of two individuals linked to a series of violent threats. The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety confirmed the successful outcome of this coordinated effort on their social media channels, showcasing the importance of inter-departmental collaboration. The operation was in conjunction with the Turlock Police and involved Sunnyvale's Community Crimes Unit, Patrol, and the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team.
In the action that led to apprehending the suspect, a residence in Sunnyvale was also searched, after assisting with the arrest of the suspect wanted by the Turlock Police. This search unearthed a substantial quantity of various narcotics. The haul included psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, methamphetamine, LSD, ketamine, and an assortment of pills. The details on the specific volume of drugs recovered were not immediately disclosed.
The suspects, whose identities remain shielded from the public eye in the early stages of the investigation, have since been booked into the county jail. On the social media post, the Sunnyvale DPS highlighted, "Excellent collaboration across agencies to keep our communities safe."
