The Southern Valley Alliance is calling upon community members to support domestic abuse survivors in a vibrant yet simple way this holiday season. According to an announcement on the official Scott County website, their Annual Poinsettia Sale Fundraiser is now underway. Each poinsettia, the traditional crimson blossom of the festive season, can be yours for $30. The sales generated will go directly to fund services for those impacted by domestic abuse.
To ensure your home or office can also serve as a sanctuary for these deep red blooms, your orders should be placed by November 10. The plants can be collected between Nov. 24-26 at 103 3rd Ave E, in Shakopee. Planning for convenience, the organizers have offered to deliver orders of five or more poinsettias to locations within Scott and Carver Counties.
