St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that 32-year-old Stanley Scott was fatally shot in Dutchtown, and a 51-year-old man is now facing first-degree murder and armed criminal action charges for the incident. According to a report from the SLMPD's official website, the tragic event unfolded in the early hours of dawn on October 26, when officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Gasconade following a call about a shooting.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found Scott inside a residence, suffering from gunshot injuries. Witnesses were actively trying to save the man's life, and officers quickly attempted to administer life-saving care. Despite their actions, and the prompt attention provided by EMS who transported Scott to the hospital, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
