
A man wanted for a 2022 murder in Pennsylvania has been arrested in Revere, Massachusetts, U.S. Marshals confirmed. The suspect, 24-year-old Elieze Guilamo, also known as Eliezer Severino-Guilamo, was apprehended on suspicion of first-degree murder connected to a homicide in York County, as per NBC Boston and independently reported by The Boston Globe.
Following a collaborative effort between state and local law enforcement agencies that included the Massachusetts State Police, Cambridge and Revere police departments, also the Suffolk County Sheriff’s department Guilamo was charged as a fugitive from justice. The U.S. Marshals Service praised the teamwork that led to Guilamo's capture after he had been traced to Massachusetts, the culmination of a manhunt that extended far beyond Pennsylvania's borders, according to The Boston Globe.
The coordination between offices played a crucial role in the operation, as the U.S. Marshals in Pennsylvania worked closely with their Massachusetts colleagues to locate Guilamo. "The York City Police Department had sought the assistance of the US Marshals office for the middle district of Pennsylvania to locate Guilamo," as noted by The Boston Globe.
Now in custody Guilamo faces an arraignment process in Massachusetts ahead of his expected extradition back to Pennsylvania where he will face charges for the 2022 killing.
