Drivers in Norman are advised to plan ahead as utility survey work begins on Lindsey Street between Pickard Avenue and Elm Avenue. According to the City of Norman, the work will start on Monday next week and continue for three days, resulting in temporary lane closures. Motorists are urged to follow posted traffic signs and consider alternate routes.
The work will proceed in short sections, one block at a time, to limit disruptions. Property access for residents and local businesses will be maintained, except for brief periods when crews are directly working in front of driveways. The project is part of the voter-approved 2019 Bond Project to improve Lindsey Street.
For the duration of the work, the City of Norman will keep the public informed about any changes in traffic conditions or access points.
