Drivers in Atlanta will need to plan for a slight detour this week if they're traveling through a certain stretch of Milton Street SW. The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) announced that there will be a temporary road closure from Atlanta Student Movement Boulevard to Parsons Street SW. The closure is set to facilitate sewer utility maintenance activities and will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., beginning Monday, October 6, until Friday, October 10.
During the closure period, only local traffic will be permitted on Milton Street SW, and drivers passing through will need to use alternate routes. However, sidewalks will remain open, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to travel without disruption.
