In a recent sweep by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit and the US Marshals Task Force, three individuals have been apprehended in relation to separate shooting incidents across the city. According to an IMPD News social media post, 31-year-old Dennis Kendall, 23-year-old Dasia Jackson, and 32-year-old Che’Anne Miller are now in custody facing serious charges, ranging from murder to attempted battery with a deadly weapon.

IMPD detectives initially arrested Kendall, carrying a gun and attempting to aid an injured adult male, after a southwest side shooting. With evidence recovered at the scene, they later pegged him as the shooter. While trying to render medical aid when officers arrived, who was armed with a gun, Kendall became placed under arrest being found to be a prohibited person and was later charged with aggravated battery, among other offenses, and apprehended on October 5.

Meanwhile, Jackson was linked to the murder of 24-year-old Ronnie Ameen, discovered in an apparent single-vehicle crash, but later found to have been shot and pronounced deceased at the hospital. As per IMPD News, "IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation and worked quickly to determine the circumstances of this shooting." Jackson was apprehended on October 6.

The third suspect, Miller, apprehended by IMPD detectives with the US Marshals Task Force, was connected to a late September shooting on E 21st Street. The incident resulted in an adult male suffering gunshot wounds, who was thereafter transported to the hospital in stable condition.
