Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with a May murder that transpired in Derry, New Hampshire. Marco Junior Marquez Vera, aged 20, was detained in Madrid, Spain, while Jeffrey Li, 18, was taken into custody in Queens, New York, both facing second-degree murder charges for the death of 41-year-old Gui Lin on May 19, as per the New Hampshire's Attorney General's office.
Reports from the AG's office indicate that the duo, accompanied by 18-year-old Ayaan Nisaar, allegedly set out to to allegedly commit a burglary at the scene where Lin was later found with a fatal stab wound to his heart. According to Boston 25 News, Lin succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a hospital. Nisaar, who was also arrested in Queens, faces charges alongside Li and Vera for robbery, attempted burglary, and conspiracy to commit burglary.
The ordeal unfolded near Peabody Annex Road, which skirts the perimeter of the Hood Commons shopping mall in Derry. While the law enforcement disclosed scant details originally, they have now shared that the three accused had planned a burglary, as stated in a report by NBC Boston.
The legal representation for Vera, Li, and Nisaar remains unconfirmed currently, as they have yet to be brought to New Hampshire, with court dates also pending.
