The Tolleson Police Department has issued a safety alert following an attempted child abduction. According to information from FOX 10 Phoenix, the incident occurred near 87th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 3:34 p.m. on September 29. A male suspect is said to have approached a juvenile female, grabbed her by the arm, and attempted to pull her away. "According to the report, an adult male suspect approached a juvenile female, grabbed her by the arm, and attempted to pull her away. The child was able to break free, and the suspect fled eastbound on Van Buren Street," read a portion of the statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix.
While the suspect has been identified by the police, his name and descriptions have not been made public. However, the authorities have released a photo of the individual believed to be responsible for the abduction attempt. ABC 15 shared the image and details about the man wanted in connection with the incident. This man is reported to have attempted to kidnap a girl along Van Buren Street east of 91st Avenue shortly after 3:30 p.m.

"Anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts is asked to contact the Tolleson Police Department's Non-Emergency Line at (623) 936-7186," officials wrote.
