According to KTSM, the first incident took place on the 100 block of Palma Drive at about 5 p.m., where a male victim was found with gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by both police and fire personnel, the individual succumbed to his injuries. The second incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on the 5000 block of Ashwood Drive, as confirmed by law enforcement after a local hospital reported a patient with gunshot wounds.
Both events prompted a significant response from local authorities. At the Ashwood Drive scene, near Santa Teresa Elementary School, officers discovered a female victim with multiple gunshot wounds, now listed in critical condition. KVIA noted that a suspect has been taken into custody relating to this case. The situation on Palma Drive, which is near Sunland Park Drive, resulted in local officials arresting a suspect following the death of the male victim.
