The Utah Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a planned redesign of its online presence. Touted as a pivotal step to refine the virtual thoroughfare where over 1.2 million visitors have journeyed in the past fiscal year, UDOT is actively seeking out the opinions and suggestions of those who navigate its digital pages. With a tally of 3.4 million page views recorded from 2024 to 2025, the department's site stands as a beacon for locals, truckers, UDOT staff, and out-of-state visitors, each seeking guidance along Utah's highways and byways.
Feedback is invited to pinpoint the vibrant array of requirements that users bring forth, alongside proposing alterations that will directly address those demands. "At UDOT, our mission is simple: help people get where they want to go—when they want, how they want," said Elizabeth McMillan, UDOT's Communications Director, as obtained by UDOT News. As she conveyed, "That promise extends to information, too. With this website redesign, we're giving people options to find what they need, when and where it works best for them." The philosophy here is clear: it’s about putting the user squarely at the heart of the web experience.
Folks interested in voicing their views have until October 31 to share their thoughts through a brief survey aimed at capturing user experience insights, a critical phase in the redesign process that UDOT is leaning on heavily to ensure its site remains not just a tool, but a trusted companion for its users.
