Yesterday morning, local police investigated a report of gunshots at a residence on Riviera Drive. WSVN footage showed two police cars at the scene. No injuries have been reported, and the officers were witnessed departing after a dialogue with an individual inside the home.
The incident, occurring near La Salle Boulevard, coincided with a car repossession effort that went off course. According to the Miramar Police Department, a homeowner alleged that their firearm discharged inadvertently when it fell to the ground. Flying overhead, 7Skyforce captured the scene where police were observed questioning the man involved before their departure.
Janice McIntosh, a spokeswoman for the Miramar Police Department, clarified the situation in a statement obtained by Local 10. "A homeowner reported that a gun accidentally went off when it fell, and no one was injured," McIntosh explained, suggesting that the firearm's discharge was accidental rather than a deliberate act of violence.
