
A 25-year-old woman has been taken into custody after a 67-year-old man was shot in the face with a shotgun in Upson County. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, left the local community shaken as deputies and emergency services descended upon the peaceful suburban street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, as per FOX 5 Atlanta.
The Upson County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at approximately 12:13 p.m., on the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive after the shooting was reported, as confirmed by FOX 5 Atlanta. The victim, identified as Johnny Alford, was discovered with significant injuries, having sustained a gunshot wound to his head, courtesy of a 12-gauge shotgun. Medical personnel treated Alford before an air ambulance transported him to a hospital in Macon for advanced care.
