Utah State University Moab recently brought hands-on learning to Margaret L. Hopkins Middle School, hosting a day-long STEMonstration event to ignite student enthusiasm for science and math, as reported by USU Today. Nearly 400 local middle and high school students got the chance to participate in fun educational activities under the guidance of USU Moab's team.

The university set up two interactive tables, one with a focus on biology and anatomy, where students delved into microscopic worlds, according to Samantha Campbell, interim vice president for USU Moab, who told USU Today, "We are committed to being active in our community and investing in the success of local youth." The other table featured a glimpse into USU Moab's diverse academic programs, letting young minds uncover hidden messages using black light pens in a nod to the field of criminal justice, while not so subtly demonstrating the power of fun merged with learning.

Beyond these two tables, USU Moab Extension brought additional educational tools to the table, quite literally, enhancing the outreach with a variety of resources aimed at the pupils' learning experience. Notably, the Aggie Drone Academy provided a buzz-worthy demonstration as they piloted their high-tech drones, showcasing technology's role in modern education directly to the students.
