High fives are due at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Utah State University, which recently rolled out the red carpet for one of their own, Rob Allen, who now sits pretty as the 2025 Distinguished Executive Alumnus, according to USU Today. It’s no small feat, as this is the platinum record of accolades from the business school, handed to those alumni who've cartwheeled across the high wire of their core values, namely, ethical leadership, global vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and analytical rigor, and landed squarely on success.
We're talking about a man who doesn’t just have a taste for accomplishments but swallows them whole: Allen, at the helm of Intermountain Health, not only spearheads a nonprofit health system that employs a whopping 60,000-plus individuals across multiple states, he’s also had his name etched onto lists like the '100 most influential people in health care,' and that’s just scratching the surface, Dean Douglas D. Anderson told USU Today.
Allen’s winding road through the health care industry began humbly on the ledger side of things at Evanston Regional Hospital and zipped through roles across various stateliness before parking at Intermountain Health where he played the roles of CFO, CEO and now, president and CEO, all after getting some letters behind his name courtesy of Utah State University, he's got a bachelor’s and an MBA tucked under his belt.
