A fatal traffic collision that occurred on Tuesday in Vallejo and later resulted in a fatality has prompted an investigation by the Vallejo Police Department's Traffic Division. The incident involved a woman who was unable to safely enter a moving vehicle near Broadway Street and Mahogany Street, leading to her death after declining medical treatment, according to a report from the Vallejo Police Department.
The vehicle, carrying the female mentioned above, known to the driver, did not stop until after she fell, whereupon the driver assisted her back into the car, and they proceeded to Napa County without reporting the incident. On the following day, the driver found the woman unresponsive at a residence and contacted emergency services. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced deceased.
The fatal outcome, confirmed by an autopsy on Thursday, has marked it as the ninth fatal traffic collision in Vallejo in 2025, now with a grim tally of twelve lives lost. The Traffic Division is leading the inquiry into the circumstances that led to the woman's death, with the details of the autopsy aligning with injuries consistent with a vehicle accident.
