Drivers traveling through Shreveport this weekend should expect possible delays. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reports that I-220 will have intermittent lane closures tomorrow and next Sunday. These closures, located near the US 71 (N. Market Street) and I-49 interchanges, are to allow SWEPCO to replace overhead utility lines across the interstate.
The scheduled lane closures will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and may affect both directions, depending on the work requirements. The DOTD advises motorists to stay alert for crews and equipment in the area.
